Ancient Words

It’s the bestselling book of all time and has been changing people’s lives for many hundreds of years. The Holy Bible is a truly special book which gives us an insight into the character of God. Within the pages of the Bible we find scripture to encourage, educate, and rebuke. There are wars and kings and songs and stories and miracles. I love picking up my One Year Bible each day and learning a little more about God’s ways.

The song that I’m sharing below is all about the beauty and importance of the Bible. I have embedded a YouTube video of the song below the lyrics. I hope you enjoy the song and that it encourages you on your journey of faith.

Holy words long preserved
For our walk in this world
They resound with God’s own heart
Oh, let the ancient words impart

Words of Life, words of Hope
Give us strength, help us cope
In this world, where e’er we roam
Ancient words will guide us home

Chorus
Ancient words ever true
Changing me and changing you
We have come with open hearts
Oh, let the ancient words impart

Holy words of our Faith
Handed down to this age
Came to us through sacrifice
Oh heed the faithful words of Christ

Holy words long preserved
For our walk in this world
They resound with God’s own heart
Oh let the ancient words impart

Chorus
Ancient words ever true
Changing me and changing you
We have come with open hearts
Oh, let the ancient words impart
