Advent Songathon (4 Dec)

This morning I had to deal with some frustrating admin stuff. Nothing major, just paying bills, making enquiries, booking appointments – that kind of thing. All of which is to say, I need to let off some steam, so today’s Songathon post will be a slice of Christian metal from Californian rockers Sleeping Giant.

My good friend Anthony (hello if you’re reading buddy!) introduced me to this band earlier in the year, and this song was a kind of ‘summer anthem’ for me. I had it on repeat for a while and I love its energy. This might not be for everyone, but on the other hand, it might be for someone πŸ˜‰

      1. Yes, I was definitely warned … and I’m glad you caught the humor of my comment. For the record, I made it 47 seconds (not bad for one week short of birthday number 60)!

        1. Not one for your 60th birthday party, then?!

You would approve of the lyrics, I think, if not the sound:

All fear, all pain, all hurt, all grief, all lies, must bow to Jesus’ Name
All kings, all thrones, everything that breathes life, must bow to Jesus’ Name
The Earth, the sea, the sun, the stars, the sky, must bow to Jesus’ Name
The Earth, the sea, the sun, the stars, the sky, must bow to Jesus’ Name

          Hallelujah
