Wherever there is activity in the universe, there must be a power that is causing that activity. Even scientists, who are very successful in describing how things happen, generally agree they cannot say why things happen. This is because there is an all-powerful cause of everything that happens. This cause is not a scientific law or set of laws, but is the cause of the activity that allows scientific laws to be formulated. The existence of this power cannot be proven with equations but is knowable by intuition if one rationally considers the nature of activity in the cosmos.
Because one of the attributes of God is infinite correlation (God can do an infinite number of things simultaneously), God can coordinate activity in the microcosm and the macrocosm. He can make all the hairs on your head grow at the same time, and can move your arms around at the same time as He pumps blood through those arms. God can make your heart beat while you walk along the road and hold a conversation. On a larger scale, God can create communities, ecosystems, and the movement of celestial bodies. All of these occurrences happen in harmony, and I believe they can only be understood in terms of the coordinating power of God, who is actively controlling the existence of all things.

Consider the activities produced by the all-powerful cause. Do they follow mathematical scientific laws exactly and without exception?

Hi Ian, thank you for your comment. God is above any scientific laws, which is why miracles happen. So I would say there are certainly exceptions.

Good. So scientific laws are more about behavior when God is not doing anything special, and are not universally true.
Do you think individual persons are capable of making exceptions to the natural laws of physics? Can their desires, intentions and/or reasons make exceptions too?

I believe that event A will only lead to consequence B on any occasion if God makes that happen. It seems in general that God employs regularity in many facets of life, but at special moments He does something unusual.
To answer your questions, I believe God is in control of all human activity as well as cosmic activity, and yes God can certainly break the rules, as we see in the case of spontaneous remissions from cancer and other miraculous healings. A personal example is that once God gave me the experience of being drunk for a short time when I hadn’t touched a drop of alcohol.
I see God as the animator of people, so that whatever you do is what God is doing through you.

One day I was walking down a trail along the Hudson river in upstate NY. I lived near the trail at the time, and used it frequently as a way to shut off the noise and just listen/observe. I tried explaining this to some people, and they thought I was worshiping the creation, rather than the Creator. No, I was coming to a greater understanding of the Creator THROUGH His creation.
Your post reminded me that incomparable experience. In turn, I am inspired to go for another such walk as soon as possible. There is no escaping God. For that, I am as thankful as I am for air, food, and water.

Creation reveals the deep things of God. They contain the depth and details of the Word of God. So Solomon asked us to go to the ant and consider the it ways… Job 12;7, ask the animals and they will teach you … the whole creation is the Word of God which is not wirtten in ink. they are just before our eyes and speaks louder than the Word in Ink.
