A black and white portrait photo of Jenn Bostic

Good morning! I hope you’re all in good spirits and ready to tackle the week. Every Monday I like to share a piece of music that has moved me or inspired me. Today’s choice is by an up-and-coming American country artist named Jenn Bostic.

I came across Jenn while watching the Christian TV channel TBN a few days ago. She was doing a session for a show called ‘Up Next’. The lyrics of her songs struck me as very powerful, and her voice is very impressive too. The song I’m sharing was written by Jenn about her father who passed away when she was only 10 year’s old. It’s a moving tribute.

Let me know what you think of the song in the comments and I’ll be back with more music tomorrow as I release song seven of my music project. Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for featuring Jenn’s music Steven. I’ve been a supporter of Jenn for about 5 years now. I’ll be seeing Jenn next weekend, firstly at the O2 Islington in London then One More Shot in Birmingham and finally in Newcastle. If you get the chance to go see her live take it, you won’t be disappointed. If you are new to her music I highly recommend you go back & listen to her earlier albums & her new album #Revival can be pre-ordered on Pledgemusic, her most recent single Faint of Heart is absolutely stunning & you can hear every time she performs it that it’s truly coming from her heart.

    1. Hi Linda! Many thanks for your comment. I’m considering going along to the Bush Hall show. I was really impressed with the session she did for TBN. It’s quite rare that I find an artist whose songs are so gripping and have depth (to me). I was listening to some of Jenn’s back catalogue on Spotify, but I saw on Wikipedia that she has a long recording history! Thanks for your advice πŸ™‚

  2. Thanks for sharing. My dad died when I was 11. So glad I found Jesus 10 years later and He introduced me to my Father God. The Spirit brought to mind the love my earthly Dad showed me in his arms and showed me the even deeper love I have in my Daddy God’s arms😊
