We learn in the sacred Scriptures that it’s important to give thanks to God, even when we’re going through challenging times. When we focus on having an attitude of gratitude, we remember how there are very many ways in which God blesses us each day that we perhaps take for granted.
Things I’m thankful for today:
- My amazing MacBook Air π¨π»βπ»
- My blog and books π
- The WordPress community βπ»
- The ample supply of food and drink I have π
- The fact that I live in a largely self-contained flat π
- The opportunity to pray ππ»
- Electricity β‘οΈ
- My YouTube Premium subscription π₯
- My bedroom window πΏ
- My comfortable bed π
- My awareness of God ππ»
- God’s generous promises to me π
- My journal π
- My mobile phone π±
- All my crockery and cutlery π΄
- My knowledge that God is in control βͺοΈ
- Access to sacred Scripture π
- My warm clothing π§€
- The occasional cigarette π¬
- My guitar πΈ
If you tried to count God’s blessings, you could never take them all in: He is truly most forgiving and most merciful.
(Surah 16:18, The Qur’an)
